Beautiful necklaces casually hung on a frame…
…or on a mirror…
…become artful displays to be enjoyed. A nice alternative to keeping them hidden away in closed storage.

Busts are such a great way to creatively store and display necklaces. I’m absolutely loving this DIY one made out of wood:
Read the instructions on how to do it here.

Comes in four different colors -loving this pink one.
Some of you may have already heard, I’ve joined the La Dolce Vita team as a bi-weekly contributor! Today my first post is up – Beautifully Organized: Hanging Earrings. Check it out and tell me what you think! See you there!
Today participating in the How I Organize series is the super sweet Victoria of the lifestyle blog vmac and cheese. She gives us a peek inside her home and shows us how she beautifully organizes her makeup, perfumes, products and other lovely things atop her dresser:I’m not the type who likes to hide everything away — my house definitely looks like someone lives there and my vanity area is no exception! An antique wood dresser which belonged to my great grandmother is right at home in a sunroom off of our bedroom, which we use as a dressing area. Atop the dresser, I store makeup in clear acrylic drawer and cosmetic organizers that I purchased from The Container Store. I also showcase different perfumes and products on an old mirrored tray found at the flea market; jewelry rests in a repurposed ceramic soap dish. Getting ready in the morning is easy with all my items in quick reach, and the area looks pretty, lived in, and organized!
Today I’m excited to share a new guest series which will feature a peek at how others organize their belongings and various little spaces in their homes!
Kicking off the series is the lovely Lauren of the food blog A Full Measure of Happiness. She gives us a look at how she beautifully organizes her necklaces:
I had that terrible situation where you have too many necklaces in a box, and they start to become one giant knot of beads and string that threatens to break every time you have to detangle it. So I thought of a magical idea involving a towel rod and shower curtain rings. Not only does it keep my necklaces organized and safe, but they area all on display so I never forget about anything that I have and can easily choose the best look for any outfit just by giving the bar a quick glance. I use it every day and I know my Mom had my Dad set one up for her too.
Loving this little organizer for its versatility. You can hang not just necklaces (tangle-free yay!), but also earrings, scarves, sunglasses, handbags (there’s a hook on each side), etc. Plus the shelf on top offers a place to keep other items like perfume, a pretty box, picture frames etc.

This week’s beautifully organized space is from the home of interior designer and fellow design blogger Erica Cook. She keeps her makeup organized in sectioned drawer trays, her jewelry in beautiful boxes, and a few select pieces out to enjoy in perfectly styled vignettes that are free of clutter -only what she uses and loves:

Erica once suggested to me that her and I may be style twins. I’d definitely agree. We have similar taste and seem to be drawn to the same things (case in point: I also have amethyst rocks and tiffany boxes in little vignettes). To check out how uber stylishly this mother of five boys lives, click on over to her blog Moth Design. She shares many other gorgeous shots of her uh-mazing home.
I found a few more things over the weekend I couldn’t resist but share. First off, how gorgeous are these gold knobs? Perfect for creating a beautifully organized display of necklaces.
gold knobs available via Hygge & West $8
Second, how cool is this jewelry organizer?
nishka’s niche jewelry frames $44
Nishka creatively thought outside the box and made these hanging frames, which she sells through her Etsy shop. I love that they’re a step above a simple bulletin board and pushpins. The hooks are a practical solution for neatly holding not only necklaces and hanging earrings, but also bracelets, watches, and even a few rings.
Last but not least, I also wanted to post on here an idea a reader brought up. Stephanie of Sabbe Interior Design shared that last week’s posts made her think of using a deviled egg platter to organize her jewelry. What a great idea! I bet that would work beautifully!
