Studio McGee is a design team whose projects always wow me. Their recent design of this gorgeous Pacific Palisades home was no exception. It reflects their signature bright clean aesthetic, and has a coastal prep east coast meets west coast vibe. I love the mainly blue and white palette, the attention to detail throughout, and of course their use of the classic Leopard Velvet pillows in the living room to add a pop of pattern.

If you’ve followed me for some time, you may know about my obsession with French bistro chairs (just the other day instagrammed this photo). I always seem to be drawn to spaces incorporating this type of chair and have as a result collected a number of inspirational images:
French bistro chairs tend to be expensive and hard to find (they’re often sold just to those in the restaurant industry) so I was delighted to discover a budget-friendly source…Overstock! I don’t have any space in my current home for these, but when we get a larger place – perhaps with a breakfast nook or nice outdoor area, I’ll be getting some for sure. A little round-up below:

Although we’re bound to continue to have days of summer-like weather over here in California, I’m happy that it’s officially fall and soon enough the air will get crisper and the leaves will turn. Looking forward to cozying up with warm drinks, indulging in everything pumpkin and apple, and pulling out the scarves, sweaters and boots. What do you love best about fall?
This gorgeous kitchen has so many of the elements I’d want in my dream kitchen someday. A bright open layout, beautiful white cabinetry, marble countertops, a large island, white subway tiles, hardwood floors, a built-in bay window breakfast nook with views of the backyard greenery…

Love the idea of using sofa seating in a dining area. It’s pleasantly unexpected and helps create a comfortable casual feel:

Loving how white paired with a bit of soft turqoise helps make these spaces look so fresh.
Hope you have a great start to your week!
